Raymond James Expands Investment Banking Team

Raymond James has added Andy Schwartz to its investment banking team as a managing director and co-head of its newly formed commercial and industrial services sector team.

Mr. Schwartz has long been active in the services sector and has been active in many of its sub-sectors including facilities and industrial services, environmental and waste services, utilities and infrastructure services, and rental services. He has managed both domestic and cross-border transactions as well as capital raising engagements for numerous clients including private equity funds and founder-owned private companies.

Mr. Schwartz joins Raymond James after nearly nine years at Lincoln International, where he was a senior leader in the firm’s business services practice focused on transactions and capital raising engagements for private equity funds, and private and public companies. Earlier in his career, he was with American Capital Strategies and Piper Jaffray.

“Andy is a well-regarded professional who is adept at helping clients pursue exceptional outcomes on their most important and sizable monetization events,” said Alper Cetingok, head of the diversified industrials investment banking practice. “The expansion of our commercial and industrial services team marks a significant milestone for the diversified industrials practice, and the enhanced coverage in this sector allows us to better serve clients as their businesses grow and evolve in response to changing market conditions. I’m excited to have Andy join Brendan Tierney as co-head of this important effort, as their combined leadership, industry knowledge, transaction experience and relationships across the sector ensure that our clients receive world-class advice and support related to their capital formation and M&A initiatives.”

Raymond James’ commercial and industrial services sector team provides M&A advisory, capital raising and restructuring services and has completed more than 100 M&A transactions, equity financings, debt placements and restructurings for private equity funds and their portfolio companies, and public and private companies.

“I’m thrilled to join Raymond James,” said Mr. Schwartz. “The firm has a time-tested track record of leveraging a range of investment banking services to deliver strategic alternatives designed for successful outcomes for its clients. It is an exciting time in the commercial and industrial services market, and I look forward to participating in the firm’s continued growth.”

Mr. Schwartz has his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and his MBA from the University of Chicago.

Raymond James’ investment banking practice has raised nearly $245 billion in capital and completed more than 800 advisory assignments, including more than 680 M&A buy-side or sell-side engagements.

St. Petersburg, Florida-headquartered Raymond James Financial (NYSE: RJF) is a diversified financial services company with more than $828 billion of assets under management.
