GardaWorld Security has acquired WorldAware from LLR Partners. LLR acquired WorldAware (then iJET International) in December 2013. GardaWorld was acquired by Rhone Capital and members of its senior management team in March 2017 from Apax Partners.
WorldAware provides security risk management services to multinational organizations to allow them to operate globally by mitigating risk and protecting their employees and assets.
The company was founded in 1999 and is headquartered in Annapolis, Maryland with additional offices in London, Cape Town, and Singapore.
GardaWorld is a global provider of security and cash logistics services. The company serves clients in countries throughout North America, Europe, Latin America, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. GardaWorld works with clients in a range of sectors and industries including financial institutions, retailers, governments, humanitarian relief organizations and the natural resources, construction, and telecommunications industries. The company is based in Montreal and has 102,000 employees.
GardaWorld will combine the operations of WorldAware with Crisis24, a Montreal-based provider of security risk management services that it acquired in December 2016.

Philadelphia-based LLR makes minority or majority investments in companies that have up to $100 million in annual revenue and are active in the education, financial, healthcare, security, and software sectors. In June 2018, LLR held a final closing of its latest fund, LLR Equity Partners V LP, at $1.2 billion.
Rhône Capital is a global private equity firm with more than €3 billion under management and a focus on private equity investments in businesses with a pan-European or transatlantic presence. Sectors of interest include business services, chemicals, consumer products, food, industrial, materials, mining, and shipping. Rhône was founded in 1995 by Robert Agostinelli and Steven Langman and has offices in London and New York City.
