Episdoe 31 – Two Six Capital

“We are at a moment of time. Humans and machines are coming together in an unprecedented way – I caution those that resist this change.” Sajjad Jaffer, Two Six Capital

Two Six Capital was founded on two simple realizations: the Private Equity industry had predominantly focused on returns by cutting costs and leveraging up assets, and there had been very little attention paid to understanding revenue. Sajjad Jaffer and Ian Picache started Two Six Capital on a mission to transform investing through data science. Two Six, as it’s affectionately known, has worked with over 20 Private Equity firms and pioneered data science for the sector over the past 6 years with a unique cultural combination of Silicon Valley engineering hoodies, seasoned investors and research developed at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

In this episode you’ll learn:

* How analytics and technology expertise help Private Equity get real business value from data science
* How Two Six Capital has made data collection and analysis much faster, and relevant to the PE sector
* How data science will create new opportunities – identify the best companies that can generate the best returns
* The implications for portfolio companies
