Rothschild & Co has added Colin Cropper to its advisory business as a managing director. Mr. Cropper joins from RBC Capital Markets and he will be based in New York.
At Rothschild, Mr. Cropper will be active with mergers, acquisitions and capital raises, with a focus on the automotive sector, including automotive suppliers and OEMs, and companies operating in the various subsectors of the automotive aftermarket. Mr. Cropper will report to Lee LeBrun, Head of M&A and Industrials, North America, and will work closely with Vikas Sehgal, Global Head of Automotive in London.

He is an experienced advisor across M&A and capital raising who will provide the firm and our clients with specialized knowledge of the auto industry,” said Jimmy Neissa, the head of Rothschild & Co North America. “Colin will bolster our automotive franchise in North America and globally, and we welcome him to the firm.”
Prior to joining Rothschild, Mr. Cropper was a managing director at RBC Capital Markets, where he headed the firm’s investment banking automotive franchise. From 2009 to 2016, he was the Americas head of the automotive franchise at Nomura Securities. Earlier in his career, he was with American Capital and Lehman Brothers. Mr. Cropper has his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young and his MBA from UCLA.
